Making It Look Easy

Page Rhoad has a way of putting you at ease.  She's at once proper without being stuffy, and commands respect without being overbearing.

And when she and her husband Hal let it loose on the dance floor, it's easy to see that they know how to have fun! Hal and Page hit it off on Lake Burton in the 1970's, where they live full-time, today.

Page founded Foxglove Cotillion in North Georgia several years after selling her successful cotillion franchise in Johns Creek, Georgia.  She won the National Presidential Award of Excellence all 7 years she was in business.

Read the full story (reprinted with permission from the Georgia Mountain Laurel magazine) of how two of her children started Foxglove Cotillion behind her back and have partnered with her to bring Cotillion to Rabun County!

7 Time National Presidential Award of Excellence Winner

Page has been published as a first author in the International Journal of Engineering Education. She is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a Master's degree in Speech Communications, a former professor who taught public speaking (and has spoken internationally), a public speaking coach, a small business owner, and a proud mother of four.

What Is Cotillion?

Foxglove Cotillion is a 6 or 7 week course followed by a semi-formal dance, or formal dinner.  We partner with local organizations to provide useful, formal etiquette classes and basic ballroom & line dance instruction as an after-school or weekend activity for 5th - 8th grade students.  Classes are taught once a week and are offered in the fall and the spring.

Get some details about our classes

The Jamboree
(Fam Jam)

Each winter, after the conclusion of the fall classes and semi-formal dance, we host another evening called The Foxglove Family Jamboree.

Our "Fam Jam" is an optional instructional dinner at a central venue for both local businesses and our Cotillion students, who are invited to bring their families and friends to enjoy a formal meal, followed by an informal, parent-child dance.

The Promenade
(Fox Prom)

Each spring, we put on The Foxglove Junior Promenade after the conclusion of our classes and semi-formal dance, in April.

Our "Fox Prom" is an optional formal dance at a central venue for all local, current 7th & 8th grade Cotillion students & returning 9th grade students.  Those students are allowed to bring a dance partner or a guest who may or may not have attended Cotillion as well.

There are always other events and programs we put on throughout the year
